Local Workshops in ACT Communities Year Round

Parents Raising Safe Kids, the APA early violence prevention program designed for families, is being implemented across the country at multiple sites by professionals and organizations.
In order to be prepared and certified to implement the program in their community, professionals need to attend a workshop offered at one of the various sites all over the country.
At the workshops professionals receive high quality materials and learn how to disseminate basic information on child development and about the risk factors for violence and its health and psychological consequences. The workshop content also includes review of the protective factors and hands-on training on prevention skills such as anger management, social problem solving, positive discipline, and media literacy.
