ACT/Parents Raising Safe Kids Communities Near you

The ACT/Parents Raising Safe Kids program is designed to mobilize community organizations and professionals and educate families to create safe and healthy environments that protect children and youth from violence. It is implemented at program sites in communities all over the country.

The APA has created Regional Centers to coordinate the implementation of the program in the various regions of the country. The regional centers’ mission includes:

• Promotion of the program through local media and networks
• Organization of training workshops for professionals
• Assistance to those implementing the parent program in community sites in their regions

The centers are located in institutions with longstanding experience in training and community outreach, and capacity to carry on their mission.
